The Farmers Bank is proud to support CORE! The Farmers Bank is focused on strengthening the health and well-being of residents of Clinton County. The Farmers Bank provided CORE with funding to assist in the following projects: our new website, home wellness kits during the pandemic, a personal fitness studio inside of our building, and purchasing all new free weights for the members of CORE.
Health and well-being is important during every stage of life but even more so as you get older. In our work, we have found that staying healthy as an older adult (60+) requires more focus on stamina, strength and movement. That is why we have partnered with three Medicare supported programs to increase the number of older adults who are active within our community. These programs include Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, and Renew Active. If you have Medicare, check with your insurance provider to see if one of these programs is available to you.
The coalition is a partnership of healthcare providers, service care providers, educators and community leaders who are interested in addressing issues of health in the Clinton County community. One way they accomplish these goals is by partnering with CORE to provide free monthly health screenings onsite and the development of a yearly Diabetes Prevention Program for individuals diagnosed as pre-Diabetic.
No matter who you are or where you grew up, CORE is where community happens. We strive to be there for anyone who needs us. In Clinton County, we are working hard to combat childhood obesity, build confidence, and show children what they can achieve when they believe in something bigger than themselves.
United Way envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability, and healthy lives. Funds from the United Way have recently gone to support Early Learning and School Age programs. In 2022, these funds were utilized to update our childcare facility with new lockers, as well as additional furniture and equipment.
The mission of WeCare Recovery Home exists to support women in recovery through multimodal treatment. In support of their vision to provide women a safe, structured environment and holistic plan of recovery, residents of WeCare receive a 95% membership scholarship to support them in their journey!
The Early Learning Coalition of Clinton County is working diligently on bringing higher quality early childhood development to Clinton County.
The Crossing’s mission is to empower struggling students to become contributing members of their communities through academics accredited in the state of Indiana, job training in real-world environments, faith-based character education focused on core values. In an effort to help support this like minded mission, students from The Crossing attend CORE weekly to receive their high school physical education credit.
IU Health has partnered with us to further our Teen Programming through Teen Cafes. This program is designed to give teens a safe space to explore what they are experiencing in life and school with activities that bring them together.
CORE Community Center actively seeks opportunities to partner with local businesses to provide account services automatically withdrawn from payroll to cover their memberships! This allows individuals to see the benefit of automatic payment enrollment and ongoing engagement with CORE programs and discounted services.
